Charles Hood has captured the hearts of audiences across the country with his darkly twisted, character-driven comedies.
After graduating from USC’s film school in 2005, Charles wrote and directed his first feature, Freezer Burn, on a modest budget of $40,000. The movie played festivals, winning awards including “Best Feature” at Flint Film Festival, and was picked up for distribution by Vanguard Cinema. Shortly thereafter, Charles directed two comedic shorts, Allison and First Kiss. In 2014, Charles directed his second feature, Night Owls, which he co-wrote with Seth Goldsmith. The film premiered at SXSW in 2015 and went on to win “Best Feature” at Hill Country Film Festival, Skyway Film Festival, and Indy Film Fest.
