John Carnright

Milford, CT

Carnright carves space and time with a chainsaw and a primordial vision.

Originally a sci-fi novelist, John Carnright got addicted to art by mishap. He began experimenting with photochemicals, mixing them with colors to invent a new style of photo-painting. He then set his sights on sculpture, carving wood and stone into bold and impressive forms representing mankind’s “perpetual dance with nature.” His collection, Primitive Futurisms, has been exhibited in museums, public spaces and galleries worldwide.
