Claire’s colors, placement of shapes, and overall form of her paintings work together to convey feelings of angst, fear, pressure, and attraction. The imagery within her work is inspired from the artist’s personal experiences, intimate relationships, and observations of strangers. Many paintings are based on memories and the conscious and unconscious aspects within those experiences. Claire constantly attempts to preserve the filtered beauty of memory while still representing the gritty reality.
