Lauren Rouatt

An artist and art educator inspired by collaboration, the interconnectedness of the natural world, and sustainable systems.

Lauren Rouatt moved to New Orleans in 2008 to attend Tulane University and received her BFA in Printmaking and BA in Philosophy in 2012. Lauren went on to earn her Master of Art Education at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. As a mixed media artist, Lauren works with a variety of materials to create her collages, drawings, paintings, prints, and ceramics. She is inspired by the fluidity and vibrance of New Orleans, and work by artists such as Katie Scott and Mierle Laderman Ukeles. Lauren is a part of the art collective graNOLA: GrassRoots Artists of New Orleans, LA.
